I don't often endorse a product but sometimes I hit something that is great.
A few weeks ago when I was grocery shopping, I picked up a spinach pizza that was on sale.
I don't often buy pizza at my local pizza shops because I don't like the thick crust...and especially the price!
At my local grocery store, I picked up a spinach pizza. Fantastic in my estimation.
Thin crust, light tomato sauce, light cheese, heavy on wonderfully cooked spinach. The pizza is about 12" in diameter. Great for lunch but for dinner, you would need two for 2 people. The price here is $4.99, I bought the first one on sale at 2/5.00

My store carries...at this time...only the spinach but the company makes other varieties.
I will be asking the store manager to add some of the other varieties but for now...Wow!

(27,310 posts)We cook the dough with a brush of olive and a sprinkle of salt. Smear the sauce on, layer the mushrooms, add some chopped caramelized onions. We withhold the spinach and sometimes fresh corn. When the pie comes out of the oven we toss the spinach, ribboned but uncooked on top and the corn if we are using it. The spinach just wilts and retains much of its spinach-y goodness.
I like sun dried tomatoes but my husband doesn't so I serve the pizza with them on the side as well as my favorite hot peppers in the world, Mezzetta hot cherry peppers. Add a salad, a glass of red wine, and a bit of bitter chocolate and shot of very good bourbon at the end and you've a near perfect meal.
