What's for Dinner, Sat., July 30, 2016

I’m going to a movie in an ice-cold theater this afternoon, followed up by dinner in an restaurant with highly effective air conditioning. Going with a friend.

The restaurant is a place with a salad bar, and a variety of entrees. We’ll be going at 5, before the Sat. night crowd begins.

Not sure what I'm going to have, as the place does a good job with specials. I'll post back.

Shredded pork and refried bean burritos, fresh guac, iced tea and a few cherries for dessert.

with skewers of veggies (tomatoes, mushrooms, zucchini, onion). A mushroom risotto to boot. I didn't have any stock on hand, so I made some this morning. Now I have many quarts.

it is my weekly reward day … and my birthday … 60 years old … never thought I would
make it this long …
the London Broil was good and the asparagus was wonderful
and the cheesecake was to die for .. savored every bite …
had to laugh .. before this diet never would have thought twice about it.
now ate slowly and lingered over every bite … LOL ….
but have gone from 241 to 208 in about 3 months ….

for my younger son who will be going back to college, moving into his apartment this week. With falafel we always have tarartour sauce (tahini, lemon and garlic) and a salad of tomato and cucumber, with onion, cilantro and vinegar.
