What's for Dinner, Tues., Sept. 13, 2016

Cucumber and watercress salad. The dressing is a mixture of creme fraiche and mayo with some lemon zest. It's also seasoned with wasabi paste. I'm using an English cucumber.

Quiche, and I don't know what's in it 'cuz the RG made it.

For dessert....this is going to be outrageous: strawberries and balsamic. That dessert really sends me over the edge. Fireworks!

I may have a Mike's Lemonade at some point, too.

with a smoked ham hock. It's unusually cool here today, so why not?

Spicy ground turkey breast, mixed greens and cabbage, cherry tomatoes from the garden, cilantro, black beans, roasted corn. Dressed with my homemade hot restaurant style salsa, and topped with reduced fat sharp cheddar and strained non fat yogurt. A handful of light corn chips on the side.

(I have some beaut strawberries and very good balsamic... do you use just a dusting of powdered sugar, or?)

but when the RG makes it, he uses confectioners sugar.

I forgot to add: vanilla ice cream to top it!
