What's for Dinner, Sat., Sept. 2, 2017

The RG made up a big pot of curry and rice with chicken breasts. He also made sausages. The rice is spicy and there is plenty of broth, so it can be served as a soup or as a meal, with chicken over the rice.

For dessert--oh, this is so decadent--raisin and nut bread pudding with three types of Haagen-Daz: vanilla, dulce le leche, and butter pecan. Serving with one scoop each.

Perfect peaches from Palisade. I put them in a bottom crust but no top crust. Perfect with butter pecan ice cream.

Oyster chicken wings (just 3 ingredients away from "sticky" wings), and a veggie fried rice (peas, carrots, scallions, cabbage, white sweet onions). I use cabbage in place of mung bean spouts since cabbage lasts longer in the fridge.

However, I just made a chicken liver pate'. I used Jacques Pepin's recipe. If I did it right, and sets up correctly, it'll make a nice morning snack! (Note to self: buy baguette!)

Sad note: Mr./Mrs Hawk just picked off one of the new rabbit twins. Not sure if it was "Alpha" or "Beta" (my names). Anyway, it's dinner time too for the wild critters.
