Want to spice up the sunflower seed on your salad?

Put a bit of oil in a skillet, when heated add sunflower seeds. Slowly brown them on medium heat. Turn off the heat and add a bit of soy sauce. Quickly stir to coat with the soy sauce and dump all on a paper plate or paper towel. Sprinkle the seeds with garlic powder.

Tastes like bacon.

I lost my taste buds in early 2016, and just recently they have regenerated to the point where I can taste what I am cooking. Still not confident in my taste, but I have a willing live in taster.

The tofu seems to granulate in my mouth, but that could be because I got firm tofu. I might have to try miso soup with some soft tofu and nori.

Preferably - shucked, roasted and salted.

I have the peanut allergy, so - sunflower seeds are my "go to" bar snack.

I'll try your idea. What the heck, it's just seeds. (Toasted pepitas are cool too.)
