I'm sipping coffee and eating gingerbread people while making my list...

This year I'm going to print out the recipes and put a check by all the ingredients I know I already have. Then I will make a trip to the store for the rest of what I need. I haven't perfected this yet. It seems like when I make the standard check list, I leave something off. Like I need red onions for two different recipes and I don't specify how many. What I would love is to NOT have to go to the store tomorrow for something I forgot today.

But what I would really love is to curl up with my dogs and take a nap. Ah, the holidays...

1. I had gingerbread Chistmas tree

cookies for breakfast. I put sprinkles on them before I bake them so they are decorated right out of the oven. The one time of the year cookies for breakfast seems completely appropriate.

I love gingersnaps and that works the rest of the year. Gingerbread wouldn't be special if I made it more often. But dang, it's good!
