What's for Dinner, New Year's Day, Jan.1, 2018

Penne with lamb ragu sauce. He's been simmering that ragu sauce since around 2:30 this afternoon.

Choice of homemade banana pudding or carrot cake with cream cheese frosting for dessert.

Oven barbecue Chicken, rice, black-eyed peas, collard greens, fresh chopped tomato and green onion, dressed with a little oil and vinegar and iron skillet cornbread. Carrot-Mincemeat cake with lemon-orange cream cheese frosting. Fruit jar glasses of un-sweet iced tea. Southern Cooking at its best.

Pigs in blankets, some mini-quiches from Target(hubby wanted them, but not very tasty), and veggies with blue cheese dip. Fun!
