What's for Dinner, Fri., June 22, 2018

We're going out to dinner because the RG bought a new car and wants to drive it, LOL.

The place we're going to has innovative food, so I can't say what I'll be ordering, but I'll post back. Something light, whatever it is. If I can get a veggie burger, that's what it will be.

It is freaking scary. Hubs had good luck with Indeed, but the recruiter got him a job in the end. Demsrule86 Jun 2018 #8

I think I'll have to take over, she appears headed towards a nap.

BBQ ribs
Turnip greens
Corn on the cob
Mashed potatoes

FLFC has already had his bacon flavored beef followed by some licks of ice cream. Three stars he says. He has been more active this afternoon and appears to be feeling better. He must be smelling the ribs because his nose keeps wiggling.

Brown Jasmine rice, in the rice pot, in the lidded pan, onions, garlic, rinsed chick peas, handful of frozen cauliflower, green beans, spinach, canned tomatoes, coconut milk, tumeric, corriander & bitter curry powder. I added some sugar, the curry might be too old.

Big batch for dinner & lunch. Easy to do.

Homemade pizza dough, a sauce made out of the remains of a ketchup and BBQ sauce bottle (with some oregano, basil, and garlic thrown in), leftover pork chop sliced very thin, the remains of a jar of olives, very finely diced left over green beans, and cheese.
It was surprisingly good. Husband was laid off last month.

the checks like background, health etc...went back the first of November. It was so stressful...there are jobs out there though...from what I am hearing. We moved for the job...too far to commute about an hour and half...we closed on the sale of our house on Thursday so now I will cook again and post on this Forum...I always read it as I eating whatever crap I threw together...thank God it is over! Welcome to DU.

Although, he was offered a job through Indeed. The recruiter rewrote his resume...said he was speaking the company lingo and needed to translate for potential employers...he started getting interviews then...This multiple interview thing is so stressful...well good luck!
