The RG made spicy pork mixture and I stuffed Cubanelle peppers (aka Italian frying peppers) with them. Topped them w/cheese and put in the slow cooker. In addition, the RG made a pork roast and sauce to go on top.
Simple cucumber salad: just olive oil over chopped cucumber! And whatever herb sounds good; in this case it will be parsley and mint.
I think I might try this recipe from a new cookbook called Superiority Burger Cookbook. Oddly enough, it's not about burgers; it's about vegetarian food. The recipe is "Burnt Broccoli Salad," and they call it "burnt" because of charring the broccoli in a cast iron skillet. The broccoli is tossed with coriander vinaigrette and topped with candied cashews and eggplant puree.
Sliced Cherokee purple tomatoes, from the heirlooms I am growing this summer.
To drink, 2 organic tea freddo, which is green tea from Italy. It's made with mineral water and chun mee tea leaves.
For dessert, a cold fruit plate with cheese.

The steaks are marinating in a light vinaigrette. They'll be grilled alongside one of my favorites: charred red, green and yellow peppers. Corn on the cob will complete the entree.
Mixed berries and strawberries for dessert.
This past weekend, I was given an extraordinary single-malt whiskey called Aberlour. That'll finish the evening!

Still eating the applesauce I made this weekend. I fried the bone in chops in half olive oil, half coconut oil and let them brown real nice. The two are pairing very nice!
