What's for Dinner, Tues., Aug. 7, 2018

Last edited Tue Aug 7, 2018, 09:45 PM - Edit history (1)

It is super-hot here today, so we will be having a no-cook dinner tonight.

Cold lamb sandwiches, fixed with a variety of whatever you want off a cold plate of vegetables: scallion, red pepper, coriander-flavored mayonnaise, sliced heirloom tomato, and roasted garlic are among the choices. The sandwiches are on whole grain crackers, though, not bread.

Cold asparagus as a side dish.

Bought another watermelon today and it's already sliced up and in the refrigerator for dessert.

To drink, Asian pear-ginger kombucha, and the RG will have sparkling water.

Roasted low and slow with lemon, garlic, parsley, and oregano.

More green beans! The garden is still producing them. May do a quick saute with cherry tomatoes, also from the garden.

Parsley poatoes, which I'm only making for the guys, since I'm doing low carb.

A glass of Sauvignon Blanc, well chilled.

Heath bar ice cream. ( again, only for the guys).
