The RG is shopping at the Japanese market in Ft. Lee as we speak. I think it's going to be curry shirataki noodles (no carbs!) and stir fry cod

or

sesame chicken.

I've had this craving on and off for weeks.

1 lb. FRESH sirloin; I put it through the meat grinder three times, (I hope someone gets my SWEENEY TODD reference!).
1 small minced white onion
Capers
Chopped parsley
1 fresh raw egg (I have a beautiful brown egg I got in the country)
Worcestershire sauce to taste, (I put in a little more than most people)
2 Tbs. Brandy
2 Tsp. Dijon mustard
White pepper and salt, to taste

I prefer to mix all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl and then dole out the individual portions. Serve with quarters of toast.

Accompanying the meat dish, we'll have an Arugula salad.

Chocolate ice cream for dessert.

ETA: This recipe should provide 4 healthy portions.

They are at Walmart - so I think they are pretty widely available.

Minced button mushrooms plus onion, garlic, italian spices & fennel, 3 T of tomato paste plus ground chicken to make 'sausage' to stuff portabella mushrooms.
Making up the recipe as I go along. I'm not eating pork products, but I wanted a sausage like mix.

Decafe peach tea

Sauce is Boursin cheese thinned with a little heavy cream, served over "zettucini". Brown rice for hubby. Oh and sugar-free orange yogurt popsicles.

Rigatoni baked with tomato beef sauce and topped with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.

Sinfully good.

Lunch was turnip greens and baked eggplant slices. They would have gone well in the casserole, but got eaten.
