What's for Dinner, Sat., Feb. 16, 2019

Last edited Sat Feb 16, 2019, 08:00 PM - Edit history (1)

Quail with mushrooms over couscous.

Chopped tomato zucchini salad. On edit: the salad was expanded quite a bit. In addition to tomato and zucchini, it has mango, red onion, poblano, and coriander. Tomato and mango are a good combo!

Apple walnut pie with cheddar cheese.

Spicy chai tea.

I put a bit of stuffing in the bird, enough for the two of us.

Brown basmati rice with sliced almonds and raisins.

Boiled lentils and a small mixed green salad.

Lemon sorbet and cookies.

Leftover shrimp with veggies in sweet and sour sauce. It's a fairly light and tangy sauce.

TJ and FLFC are snoozing, although it is almost time for them to arise. TJ for her night shift and FLFC to decide if he wants to play, eat, or sleep more. That old saying, "it's a dogs life," does't seem like a negative to me.

I'm not certain what I have for the little man's dinner. I'm sure he doesn't want shrimp or veggies. If he's in the mood, we can poke around in the refrigerator for what strikes his fancy. The search can be fun, especially if he's excited about it.

One of husband's faves. I'm being super-good on my low carbing, and had a tuna plate (I don't have tuna often to keep it 'special.' And I made orange yogurt popsicles for dessert.

I thought I was making dinner but then my son announced he was going out. I was then like DATE NIGHT!!! Let's go try this new Korean BBQ place I've heard about.

But spouse was like OR we could go to favorite watering hole which is much closer and we know it's good.

Yeah, yeah.

It was fine.
