Chicken parmesan with homemade tomato sauce. Using a combo of provolone and mozzarella to top it, plus fresh basil.
Cucumber salad with red onion, mint, and crema Mexicana, which I will thin with half 'n half.
Dessert: one green tea mochi.

(38,556 posts)I wanted to make a satay sauce/glaze, but I didn't have the ingredients
I did make a glaze using peanut butter, soy (I wish I had fish sauce), sambal, garlic, ginger, s & p, and a little chicken stock to thin it out. I'm using it to glaze some chicken drumsticks.
I'm also making a noodle stir-fry loaded w/ carrots, broccoli and onions.
Watermelon for dessert

(15,090 posts)I like Alton Browns recipe for the dough. Wasnt really happy with the toppings, thoughtoo much pepperoni made for a greasy pizza.

(5,657 posts)My halibut gifting friend is at it again. The first time I made Halibut I thought it would be a great fish taco fish. Tho more expensive than usual meats.
Free halibut meant I could try the tacos. There were two fillets so I marinted one in taco seasoning then seared it in cast iron. Already grilled off the corn tortillas.
Topped the perfectly cooked halibut with chopped onion, cilantro, squeeze of lemon and tapitio hot sauce. Superb!
Bud platinum on the side is very satisfying!
😎
I will cook off the other fillet in butter and dill. Finish with lemon and save for lunch tomorrow.

(4,606 posts)Mowed the grass today with a reel mower and was too beat to cook. That grass was tall.
The pizza was from a local joint and very tasty.

(55,008 posts)some leftover tomato/cuke/feta salad. the corn was great, the meat was some pre-marinated steak from Trader Joe's - not bad but not fantastic, a touch on the fake chemical side.
