Wraps, for which I made three different types of fillings. I found these low-carb, low-calorie wraps at the store and they come in different varieties--only 60 calories and 6 carbs per wrap. A flour tortilla is 200 calories and 23-27 carbs per wrap.
The first filling I made is ground pork with eggplant and cashews. Chopped coriander on the top.
Second is ground chicken with spicy peppers. Also has scallions.
The third is stir-fry shrimp and sugar peas. Red and yellow peppers, plus scallions.
I also made a salad with bibb lettuce and radicchio. I wanted to roast pears to go with it, but I forgot the pears when I went to the store. Maybe I'll just save this for tomorrow.
Dessert will be sliced strawberries with black pepper and balsamic.

I have a pot of navy beans simmering in home made ham bone stock with onions, celery, carrots and plenty of garlic. Many chunks of ham in there too.
Cornbread to soak up the juices.

(38,610 posts)On days when I go to my folks to cook, I tend to keep things simple at my own home.
We had banana pancakes w/ pure Canadian maple syrup, breakfast sausage and home fries.
My folks had stuffed peppers (ground turkey, rice, sausage, onions, celery, carrots, garlic, oregano and basil) topped w/ a little parm, steamed green beans, and corn.
