Breakfast 2 August 2019

I fell asleep early last night and woke up early today. I heated up a leftover salmon patty, topped it with spicy tartar sauce, ate it with more of the cold salad from yesterday and drank a glass of cold decafe tea.

Coffee later I guess

Friday is one of our "weekend days" and we usually make a dastardly brunch.

I'm thinking I'll make a spicy western omelet with tomatoes and herbs from our garden.

Toast and coffee, of course.

Then a mimosa!

Others would say the mimosa part, and I agree, that would be pretty good, too!

I made a salmon roll-up in an ancient grains wrap. Cream cheese, then the salmon, and I sliced cucumber and red onion over it with the mandeline. Salt, pepper.

Just a little breakfast because at 1 I'll be joining my colleagues for a semester-end lunch at a restaurant. On the reservation page, I ordered the chicken scarpariello but regret it because we've had chicken at home a lot lately; I'm sure there will be plenty of salads and side dishes I'll enjoy.

a cup of vanilla Greek yogurt, with some "Honey Bunches of Oats"

For Al, who woke up later than I, I made a broccoli and cheese omelet, a slice of toast w/ peanut butter, and 1/2 granny smith apple.

Of course, there was coffee involved.
