What's for Dinner, Sun., Aug. 25, 2019

I finally have the RG convinced to use the grill, so he's made up lamb chops and sausages to grill (lamb chops marinated in herbs, garlic, and olive oil). In addition, we prepared vegetables for the grill. They are potatoes, cut in half and parboiled, beets, also parboiled in the skin (tastier that way--then take the skin off before eating), and onions. Do I ever love grilled onions.

Tomato and cucumber salad with basil pesto.

Dessert: brownie bite with cream cheese and walnuts on top.

in the Instant Pot, and sweet and sour beets - they tasted a lot like the homegrown beets my mom used to fix.

Another winner from the Pioneer Woman. It's really good.

And a bottle of 2015 Gascon Malbec.
