What's for Dinner, Mon., Oct. 21, 2019

Pork loin roast with sage, bay leaves and one other seasoning that I can't remember. It was cooked on the range with potatoes and carrots.

For a salad, coleslaw with homemade dressing.

Vegetable will be an avocado, sliced, with mayonnaise from the Portuguese store on top. It also had spicy red pesto.

No dessert until later, when it will probably be chamomile and a slice of lemon poppyseed loaf with a little ice cream.

We're going to have a skirt steak. I set up the marinade this morning, essentially it's an Italian salad dressing. Since we're in the city, I'll broil the meat to get that crispy/burned feel.

Twice-baked potatoes and steamed asparagus will accompany the steak.

A small arugula and tomato salad will round out the meal.

I feel like a brandy for dessert.

It's still early here in CA, but I'm thinking I might grill some burgers and make some oven fries

from Whole Foods to the spaghetti and hamburger sauce I had made and it really helped. Creamed spinach and a small beet, tomato mozzerella and pecan salad. Dessert a small fruit and custard "pie".
