Scandinavian Goodies

I'm having fun baking some new treats and shooting pics to add to the seasonal offerings for my Cottage Baking gig. I feel my Viking blood raging through my veins. Coffee time!

Here is a Kransekake

The coffee cake one is super good, it's loaded with almond paste, raisins, and orange zest.

And I do appreciate anyone who can!

My delve into Norwegian cooking and baking is mostly Krumkakes. I have tried Rosettes, Sand Bakkels, lefse and a few other treats. I just wish that the really good stuff wasn't made one...at...a...time. How did any of the old time cooks and bakers get anything done without our modern conveniences like gas/electric stoves.

Celebrations for my immediate family usually include Krumkakes.
