Fun foodie book with some great recipes

"Being Dead is No Excuse"

A compilation of Southern funeral food traditions, with some epic stories and great recipes.

I learned that pimento cheese is the pate of the South and sweet tea is the House Wine of the South.

I never heard of 'sweet tea' until we moved back here in 1993.
Iced tea was served with a sugar bowl on the table.
Those who wished it spooned sugar into their tea.
Then you stirred like hell.
It's hard to get sugar to dissolve in cold tea.
Some preferred plain or with a wedge of lemon.
