What's for Dinner, Sun., Dec. 22, 2019

Pasta with tomato sauce and lamb in it.

I made a salad with red ruffly lettuce. It has sliced green apple, gorgonzola, toasted walnuts, and thinly sliced Persian cucumbers. There's cider vinaigrette that is supposed to go with it, but I may use some coleslow dressing on mine.

For dessert, I may make blueberry Dutch baby.

Need to make ginger tea for tonight!

My beloved kindergarten-age grandson is here for the weekend.

Breakfast

Me: Here’s a lovely vegetable omelet and fresh pineapple I personally just cut up.

Him: Meh.

Lunch

Me: Here’s steamed broccoli and homemade macaroni and cheese made with whole-wheat pasta.

Him: Really? I have to eat that?

Dinner

Me: Here’s a frozen pizza I threw in the microwave.

Him: This is great!

I had a baked yellow potato, roasted butternut squash with garlic and onion, a salad with just lettuce, dried cranberries, Parmesan cheese, homemade dressing, lemon tea and a couple just-made orange shortbread cookies.
