OK, it ain't Hollandaise, but it's pretty good on asparagus and salmon.
No proportions, but mix some mayo with lemon juice and a pinch or so of cayenne until you get a taste and consistency that you like.
Works for me.

I like your aioli sauce instead.

I like the cayenne instead of dijon.

(34,136 posts)She'd make it to go on broccoli. I only had real Hollandaise sauce last fall - one morning I splurged on eggs Benedict for breakfast. It tasted weird since I was used to the ersatz version.

(36,827 posts)But hollandaise and mayonnaise are very similar as far as the ingredients go. The biggest difference is oil instead of butter.
