Here are my green tomatoes picked today.

We haven't had a frost yet in MA but it's coming soon, and the vines are brown and the critters have run out of better things to eat so they're nibbling on tomatoes.

I will let some ripen, and I will make green tomato relish.

find a recipe and substitute the green tomatoes for tomatillos. It works just fine.

and you're not into canning, just put it in baggies and freeze it. Salsa all winter.

It will keep in a jar in the fridge for a few weeks.

still green. I left about 20 on the vines for the animals. What a season. We got over 250 tomatoes from 2 plants.

tomatoes left on the plants onto big tables in our basement and they ripened beautifully and were very tasty. You don't need to use green tomato recipes unless you like them that way, but the option of them ripening naturally may work for you too.

Looks like a hard frost this week in PA. I keep the green ones in a paper bag in the garage. We could get some red ones into Dec. if we are lucky! We had a great crop this year. I have tubs of frozen tomato soup and gazpacho to last during the winter.
