hope she has a good one. she will have an exemplary nanny if she does.
i love the one where she is playing tug with the baby. although she does beat the baby, she is extremely patient all the same. i have to go back and watch the one where the baby is a little older and see how they evolved their game.

Linus is perfect. I don't think I've ever seen a dog interact w/ a child in that way...are most boxers like that?

hard to find one like that these days, tho. it is part of the breed standard for the temperament. my puddy was my nanny here for all her 12 years, even tho she was one of those "defective" white boxers. she was hard of hearing, but it never bothered her.
the one where the baby is in the water and the dog is pacing the pier is particularly familiar. she hated to see the kids next door, making all that noise, on the other side of the fence. she's paced that fence for an hour at a time.
biff, who we had when i was a kid made my dad stop spanking us kids.

gonna name my bully pup biff, btw.

Chollo was the male and a total sweetheart. Can't remember the female's name- she was white with a few spots (sort of dalmation like). Didn't interact with them too much, but I just remember that they were super sweet.
I've seen an increase in boxers in my neighborhood the past 6 months or so. Never noticed them before, but now I see 3-4 being walked a night. Are they the new trendy dog?

on edit- Biff is an awesome name!

where he was told to remove his paw and did it! What an excellent dog! So gentle with the baby.

I didn't go on to the rest of the videos, but from the comments here, it sounds as if there are more. I'm looking forward to seeing them.

I'm used to large breeds. But how big does he get? ---A male of that breed, I mean. Are there any 'typical' health issues w/them as they age? And do they shed alot?

Thanks in advance!

She was always the boss of him from the very day she arrived into the world. She would yank his ears, stuff her fists in his mouth, grab handfuls of his skin and try to pull him to her... nothing she did fazed him. As she got older she used him as a step ladder to get onto the couch trampling his head or whatever convenient body part was made available. He's still ultra protective of her now that she's 4 years old, and she still bosses him around. He cheerfully suffers every indignity she bestows on him... dressing him in mommy's clothes and painting him with make-up... she even drew colorful pictures on him once with her paint set, and he just lay there staring up with his doleful eyes pleading not to go telling everyone that he's really that much of a pushover. She was always HIS baby, and now she's HIS little girl.

i saw some pics from this series, and honestly wondered if the dog had good intentions or not. a friend told me that she had googled it up, and that it was indeed as sweet as it looked. but my google search came up with linus, also.

she was an irresistible canvas for the 4 homeschoolers. washable markers, finger paints, whatever they wanted her to do, she was right there.

Temperament

The character of the Boxer is of the greatest importance and demands the most solicitous attention. He is renowned from olden times for his great love and faithfulness to his master and household. He is harmless in the family, but distrustful of strangers, bright and friendly of temperament at play, but brave and determined when aroused. His intelligence and willing tractability, his modesty and cleanliness make him a highly desirable family dog and cheerful companion. He is the soul of honesty and loyalty, and is never false or treacherous even in his old age.
