(1,408 posts)Growing up our family had mostly rescued dogs.
My wife and I have been involved with cat rescues since the early '80's.
This is Lorenzo and Dot..t,(l to r) sister and brother, 14 months old.
This is their Momma(Little Momma) with their two siblings@3days old. (l-r) Dot..t, Digger, Lorenzo and Xena. This is before they were named. We wait and usually name them based on their personality etc.
Here they are at 3 weeks and have been named. (l-r) Lorenzo, Dot..t, Xena and Digger.
Since I've shown Momma and her babies, I have to show Buddy, their Poppa. This was taken while they were being born.
I think,to say he was underwhelmed, would not be an understatement.
Little Momma and Buddy were brought into our house because some neighbors were going to take them out to an abandoned farm and drop them off. My wife tore them a new one so we got Little Momma, Buddy, Sylvester, BB, Heather and Smokey. I can't believe that people can be so stupid. Their reasoning was that they could take care of themselves.
I'll have to post about our other babies. This took over an hour and with my health issues I mainly just lurk, read and learn.
That, and Xena has been helping by wanting to sit on the keyboard and/or chase my fingers.
Happy International Cat Day to you!
Thank u so much!!

(14,881 posts)Didn't know about Cat's Day. Did know I had been drawn to kitty pictures at the local shelters for weeks. Promised myself a kitty for my b-day yesterday.
