Surgical assistant Dennis Moses is in contention to be the internet's Man of the Week for his gentle care of a groggy puppy recovering from surgery
His simple gesture - which presumably comes second nature to a man who works with animals - has sent the internet into near meltdown.
Dennis, who works at BARCS Animal Shelter in Baltimore, Maryland, has become an online favourite after the shelter posted the clip onto its Facebook page.
The charity wrote: "Baby Meesha was coming off her anesthesia and was a little scared because her body felt so weird.
"BARCS Surgical Assistant Dennis Moses took her out into the quiet hallway to comfort her.
"One of our awesome volunteers just happened to be walking by to capture this sweet moment. Thank you to Dennis and all the staff who work long, tireless hours in the background of our sheltersaving lives and loving the animals."
