Saw someone drop two beautiful black german shepards

off between a road and a dry river bottom far west of Phoenix. Called the sheriff because they're running into the road waiting for their owner, and no-one else can pick them up as quickly as the sheriff.

If anyone in the PHX metro might be interested in adopting or fostering them, call Maricopa County Animal Control.

For someone who could throw away a sheltered and cared for animal into the wild. Like - in this day and age -they couldn't have reached out to Social Media?

We had a little Maltese whose owner was going to put them to sleep when they moved in a few days - pop up on our feed. Within 24 hours Rudy had a good home.

these beautiful guys are quickly taken in, and not hit by a car. They should be extremely easy to catch right now.

adorable little dog, who stayed in the yard for 2 days then went wandering and was run over by a car.

the owners, who I did not know, came back 3 days days later, to fetch the dog, my neighbor told them what happened, they said they had only planned on being gone for 2 days, were delayed, and seemed quite puzzled why the dog would leave the totally unfenced yard after 2 days or no food or water, because they had always kept him in the yard, never in the house.

i wish the wee thing had wandered into my yard, I would have at least taken him to the no kill shelter.

Felt murderous for a week after that, my tolerance for ignorance and stupidity has bottomed out this year..

I advocate treating animal abusers in kind. When this person is caught drop him/her in the middle of 8 lanes of busy traffic at night blind folded. And wish them luck.

We have a highway (double 'OO') located right behind the Bennett Springs Missouri state park, and you would be amazed at how many dogs were dropped off (over 20+ dogs, over 30 years) ... a lot of the abandoned dogs made it up to my parents' house right up the road from the park and thank god, my parents were 'dog' persons...My other half and I even took in 3 of the animals from my parents and we're so glad...they are the most loving dogs we've ever had and you couldn't give me a million dollars for any of them...

It's unfortunate and a horror for this to happen but it does...disgusting...

Even more disgusting is that my brother-in-law told me that people dropped them off because they were females...and folks in the country didn't want females because then they would have to pay to have them 'fixed'...

So much for people in the country vs. city living...

It is quite common, I have seen it more than a few times. too cheap to spay the female.
Worse yet, they can get a reduced spay fee from the shelter, but they do not.
