This is so cool! (feral cats)
Architects For Animals
From their 'about' page: Architects for Animals is a fundraising initiative created by Leslie Farrell. Giving Shelter is a one-night event that benefits the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals. Participating architectural design firms build and donate creative outdoor winter shelters to provide NYC’s homeless cats with refuge from the season’s freezing temperatures. At the event these shelters will be on display to the public and at the end all shelters will be donated to care givers who work with the NYC Feral Cat Initiative.
Some of the shelters can be seen on their page, and there is a link that shows you how to do your own. How cool is that?

3. Would be nice, wouldn't it?
Unfortunately for people, kitty shelters are far less expensive to construct. I've built several for local ferals for about five bucks a pop. It would be wonderful to have nobody homeless, but I do what I can.

4. That's great that you can build them for $5
The shelters pictured looked pretty involved, except for the one made from tubes. That one seemed really practical, easy to make, and would also be recycling.
Anyhow, on behalf of the feral cats, I thank you! |
