Sometimes I look at my baby girl, Shiloh... And then, I launch into a monologue about how much I love her and how important she is to me... I think she gets it, but sometimes I think she's just anticipating a treat.

This video was a tear jerker for me.

and press her cold wet nose into my cheek and tell her I love her. I think she understands.

I tear up just thinking of the day we'll lose her. There's not a mean bone in that sweet, sweet dog's body. I love my boy too but he's somewhat mean to her.

I was camping in an abandoned cabin up in British Columbia and taking a short walk when suddenly it got really dark. I'm talking 'Carlsbad Caverns' dark. Having never been in a forest that tall, I didn't realize that there was no light from the stars. I bent down and told my dog that I couldn't see and asked him to take me back to the cabin. He took off and led me right back while I held his collar.

On another occasion, I was looking for my dogs ball. It was gone. I said, "Where's the ball Hank?" He ran over to the deck and patted a step close to the ground. Sure enough, the ball was under it. I could go on, but I'll be merciful.

I love you. Jack died, that's why he's not here. You can keep snuggling his blanket. Please ring the bell when you need to go out. And stop barking, we have it covered.

To Blake, I'd say: I love you. We are so happy to have you. Don't worry about a thing - you're going to be here always. Please ring the bell when you need to go out. And rain will not hurt you.
