I have a dog that is all of a sudden refusing to go into her kennel except to eat in the morning.

I work part-time and they chew so I kennel the three of them for 4 hours each day while I am at work. Lately when I come home she has drooled on herself so much that she is soaked. She is very anxious to say the least. I don't know what has caused this or how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated, she is a wiener dog.

If you put all three in the same kennel something may have happened Doreen Mar 2019 #1

Thanks for the ideas! redstatebluegirl Mar 2019 #5
Can you get an open -top enclosure made from fencing? Maybe doggy would feel more a part of things. Karadeniz Mar 2019 #3
That might be a good idea, the kennel she has is closed top. redstatebluegirl Mar 2019 #6

between her and another one of your dogs or if she is senior age she may be getting to a point where it is irritating to her to be with other dogs in a kennel. Trying to see if a separate kennel would make it more comfortable for her. Make it her place only like feeding her there but have it where she knows the others are near. Has how they play or react to each other when you are around changed? It is also possible one of the other dogs could use their own place instead or also.

She is the youngest of the three, she is 5, I have her mom who is 13 and her 1/2 brother who is 7. I have tried putting her toys in there with her, I have tried soothing music. Poor thing, i hate to leave now. If I don't kennel her she chews anything she can get her mouth on.

2. if you have a spare internet device such as iPod, perhaps we can find a way to transmit your voice. Or record your voice for a few hours and let it flow on repeat.
3. Some pets like to be elevated. Put some cushions on a chair which can see out a window.
4. Ask a neighbor to check in.

Good luck

I had to kennel train my latest rescue pup who had high levels of anxiety.
She was crated well over a year for most of the day.
Canna Companion has a formula for high anxiety that is a natural cbd product. Works well.
You can consult with the team in Seattle. They are very informative and can perform great research for you.
