Related: About this forumA new way to help our animal friends :)
Some of you may remember Wishadoo!, my labor of love. I wanted to introduce a specific way to make use of Wishadoo for animal lovers. I may post to GD when today's brouhaha dies down.
One of the many ways Wishadoo's tools can be put to good use is to help connect various puzzle pieces in order to find (and maintain) loving homes for our animal friends.
Each day we see countless images of animals who have been rescued and need a home, and there are also many individuals and families at risk of losing their beloved companions because of their financial struggle.
Difficult economic times don't only affect humans.
Many kind-hearted souls would love to adopt pets but can't due to allergies, travel schedules, space constraints and other reasons. These same people would, however, love to help others adopt and/or keep their pets, without the financial burden and worry.
Making use of Wishadoo's Wishlist, we can help connect the puzzle pieces. By listing the various rescue animals in need in the Wishlist (using the "Animals in Need|Rescues" sub-category under Animals|Pets), those who are able and willing to adopt can find them (using the zip code search tool).
Those who are willing but not able to adopt due to financial constraints can express their interest -- general interest or regarding a specific Wishlist post -- by creating a listing at the Wishlist (using the "Need Patron's Help" sub-category under Animals|Pets). Hopefully a patron who would like to help with expenses will see the listing. This applies to both new adoptions and those in danger of losing their beloved companions.
With your help, we can reach out to shelters around the US and other countries, inviting their organization to join the Wishadoo! Community and make use of the Wishlist and other tools to expand their reach, and provide a new way for others to help not only our animal friends, but fellow animal lovers.
Please help spread the word about this very specific way to use Wishadoo! and invite fellow animal lovers to join us. Let's help connect the puzzle pieces!!
We'll call this PUZZLE PROJECT #1! There are so very many ways to connect, and we'll gradually be showing you how to use the tools here to make the connections which can help alleviate suffering, as well as inject joy into our daily lives.
You may also want to consider joining the group dedicated to improving the lives of our animal friends: ANIMAL LOVERS UNITE!

I'm there a lot, and while there are a bunch of goofballs in there, by and large they're also animal (kitteh) lovers.
