1. I put a small pool like that in my yard and..

my 2 Standard Poodles treated it like a huge water bowl. They drank from it but would not get in it. They do love the sprinkler though.

They have a reputation for being hard to train. Is that bunk? I have always wanted one (I love Terriers) but I only rescue and I am guessing Bedlington rescue places the few they get with Bedlington owners.

12. Yes, bunk, similar to other Terriers,

smart, loving, and sometimes singleminded, but great. (Body of a lamb, heart of a lion, they say!)

Probably Bedlington rescue places most with owners, haven't heard to the contrary, but you could certainly try. And if you get one, let me know! Please!

13. What a beauty! My other dream dog is a Kerry Blue....

I have three pure breed rescues already. I insist that they live to be 140 so I am going to have to wait until I move to the country for good before I add to my menagerie. Three is the legal limit in my town.

5. hahaha Awesome pic !

I had a white SP when I was growing up. Now we have Sydney who is black and Leo who is a Parti (black and white mixed).
I haven't figured out how to post pics yet.

but had sweet Miniature poodle as a kid.
Parti, POODLE? Don't think I've seen that!

3. The same thing happened to me when I first started putting the pools out...

So I bought a little plastic boat at the dollar store and put Milkbones in the passenger seat. It took a while but everyone (except Roxie) started to jump in and chase the boat around the pool trying to grab a treat.
Soon they were rewarding themselves for jumping in. Even when the boat capsized and the MBs sunk to the bottom, the bravest pups learned to dive and retrieve.

Now they just jump right in and wade around!

That's how the Yorkies learn to jump in the pool and swim! They love "boating"!
