(205,320 posts)When my beloved cocker, Barney, got older and it got so I had to carry him outside, I first tried canine chiropractic, which didn't help much, and then found a vet who did acupuncture. I'd had acupuncture myself, so I knew it wasn't uncomfortable and it was non invasive, and that worked for him, brought him in every other week and he was able to walk just fine again, able to go in and out on his own. And he was at least 18 (I adopted him at age 10 or 11 and had him for 8 wonderful years), so i was hesitant to subject him to surgery. So glad to hear that your dog is now doing so well!
