(16,426 posts)Cats always act like they're being tortured when you bathe then, the poor things. But once in a while, it needs to be done, and you just have to grit your teeth and get through it.

Are they all acting the same way?

(26,269 posts)Hopefully I won't be bathing them, again, any time soon. I saw zero fleas. Maybe the stretch of cold, wet weather mitigated the problem. I'll keep combing them, though.

(9,738 posts)This is used around our place all the time. It destroys fleas, ticks, beetles, etc.
I dust our dog with it to control fleas, pretty good for ticks but he still gets a topical.
Using a sprayer we dilute some into water and spray it on the high grasses around the garden to help with the ticks. Only had one on me this year with about 5 hours in the garden every day the last couple weeks. Rebuilding the entire garden so us old people can work the plants without bending over. Built raised boxes.
Ms.Hale can use a bench to thin the root garden, carrots are the hardest for her now no bending over now.
Outside it kinda loses a little effectiveness more quickly than I like but hey first chore of the day.
Google it for all the benefits. Meanwhile look at this.

(41,832 posts)We had just cleaned the floors and someone had used bleach (house keeper) and the cat was rolling in the bleach, and that will kill a cat so fast, so i brought him into the warm shower with me and washed down his fur with warm to hot water, at first he hated it
but every time I would go to take a shower, he would follow me to the shower door and bang on shower door to be let in and i would open the door and he would hop in with and take a shower with me every time, purring loudly.
Most of the time i would just ignore him but he was so cute knocking on the shower door. He is long gone now, and I miss my little shower companion.
