Related: About this forumAs if today couldn't get better, kitten-wise
First the whole lapping up milk from a bowl plus increased mobility and coordination and now their claws are retracting, they are grooming, and I found POOP IN THE LITTER BOX!!!!! Those little fur balls are going gangbusters, today and some of my anxiety is easing. Next step is the introduction to the boys. That might happen tomorrow when family is here for a Kitten Mother's Day dinner. That way I'll have back up.
Admittedly, if I wasn't so sleep deprived I might not find these to be such monumental advances. But I am, and I most certainly do!!!
And I promise - photos will be coming. They are so active, I'm deleting a whole lot of blurred images.

(26,272 posts)Gwen and Dewi are a bit quiet. They are the ones who already have a forever home lined up. Arthur and Bronwyn are very adventurous. They are the ones always trying to climb up the side of the playpen. Bronwyn will get a claw hold and then start meowing for me to help her. So, of course, I do. She is the tiniest of the four.
And the girls seem to figure things out MUCH faster than the boys.
I am anxious to get them out of the playpen, for a while, so they can explore and have room to really develop their motor functions. That will have to wait, though, until I see how the boys will react to them. Until they are bigger, they will never be out of the playpen without me being right there with them.
