Mr. Cat seems to have taken a roommate.

Or else it's some kind of timeshare arrangement, since I don't see them both on the porch at the same time. Anyhow, there's a black cat who's been showing up now and then, at least every couple of days, and if Mr. C. is out he/she (gender not yet determined) eats his leftovers and, now that it's warmer, basks on the steps. If I approach, he/she dashes under the porch - it's more skittish than Mr. C., but seems to have figured out that I am a food source. The cat is rather fluffy and doesn't look malnourished, but seems to have a somewhat wonky hind leg. So I've got another one to look after, apparently.

Here's a photo, a bit fuzzy because it was taken through a window.

and how much is just fur, because I can't get close enough for long enough. I certainly hope Cat#2 isn't preggers, but if so, Mr. C. could be the baby daddy - though cats don't tend to pair up and hang around each other. I guess I'll have to wait and see what, if anything, happens.
