The littles are doing great

The tiny kittens I’m bottle feeding are doing great. When I found them Monday evening, they were near death—the little black one was wet, cold, motionless face down on a lawn and covered with fly strike. His brother wasn’t doing much better. Lots of care and a great veterinarian pulled them through.

My cats have always been indoor/outdoor cats. One afternoon we found our tabby lying in the yard, unable to stand, with some sort of injury to his rear hips. Took him to the vet, x-ray, doc said hip dislocation with minor pelvic break. Take him home, let him lie there, he will heal -- then the vet added "I have found that if you can get all the parts of a cat back together, they will heal."

Of course, cats do require care from someone wo loves them to get all their parts back in one place.

They look healthy and happy, and will no doubt bring you a lot of joy should you deside to keep them!

10 years ago I took on raising 2 week old kittens, a dark grey male and a tortoise shell female. They have been my sidekicks for the past 10 years. I love them dearly and am still "mom".

They each have a kind of throwaway name because our veterinarian insists on names. I was thinking Miracle Max for the black one.

You've done well! They look adorable and very mischievous right now. This is good! (gryn) Enjoy the ins and outs while you can. I don't know if I could dare to part with them after bringing them back to life again. But that's me. I'm a forever foster-fail! (LOL).

May your days be filled with love and joy from these two babies. May your vet be blessed with with the greatest of wisdom, and may these two babies thrive and grow in health and cattitude.

He was with me for 16 years till cancer took him. The bond that hand raised kittens have with people makes them super companions. Enjoy your little family, and thanks for sharing the adorable pic; it brought back so many happy memories.
