He's so good to just sit there with his cake right next to him. He has that look that's a cross between "Gawd, I'm so embarrassed"
and, "yes, I am king."

which is priceless, is we have years of photos of my nieces and nephew on that same stoop. Birthdays, in their Sunday best with Easter baskets, holding sports trophies and art projects, teenaged with their friends and prom dates, holding puppies...

Now that the youngest, my nephew, has graduated the Coast Guard Academy, my sister has found a way to carry on the tradition of milestone photos. It’s fun and so sweet.
