Had to dig another grave this morning
That's two cats who have died since December.
Badir, my handsome siamese, crossed over the Saturday before Christmas, and Major Tom, my handsome black kitty with a regal carriage, crossed over this morning. Both were rescue cats and had spent a lot of time on the streets before coming to live with me, and that ages them quickly, and Badir was probably close to 150 in cat years. They both had a cushy life here with me and never wanted for anything, and as comforting as that thought is, I'm still heart-broken.
I've buried them over by the garden, in the sunny spot where they loved to nap.
It's so hard to say good-bye.

I know they're happy being in their sunny spot. I'm so grateful they had you to give them a loving home and a safe, warm place to nap in their final years. May you find comfort in knowing all that.

I know how devastating it can be to lose two kitties in a short period of time. I lost two cats within one week of the other and it had me reeling for weeks. RIP Major Tom
Losing one is bad enough, but losing two is such a short period of time must be so much worse.
I am sorry to hear this. We all know how hard it is, even with one. You obviously loved them, and they had a good life to make up for a lousy start. Keep the memories.
their spirits will be with you every day. You'll find them again one day.
I hope they are playing with all of our babies.

I too lost two of my cats back to back this past year and have yet to adopt any more cats.
So heartbreaking!
