It's interesting how the emperors and kings suddenly turned into the names of elected officials around the turn of the 20th century. It's the speed of the video that made the sudden change stand out.

I wish I could page through it year by year -- there is so much information and I keep stopping to check out names in Wikipedia. Who the heck is Balamber?!?
Interesting that they called the consuls the "rulers" of Rome and the Roman Empire, and only name one (there were two at a time).
...but whatever! I enjoyed that. Didn't realize Ivan the Terrible was contemporaneous with Henry VIII. History is so cool.
