Un-American and grotesque: Ex-special counsel slams Sessions suggestion he may prosecute Hillary

A former special counsel who led the investigation into the 1993 tear-gas assault by the FBI in Waco, Texas, slammed Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ suggestion Tuesday he may appoint a special counsel to investigate former Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, calling it “un-American” and “grotesque.”
“To have the winning side exploring the possibility of prosecuting the losing side in an election—it’s un-American, and it’s grotesque,” John Danforth told the Washington Post. “The proliferation of special counsels in a political setting is very, very bad.”

Peter Zeidenberg, former deputy special counsel who served under special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald during the investigation of former Dick Cheney advisor Scooter Libby told the Post employees at the Department of Justice “would be completely disgusted and demoralized by” the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate Clinton.

It does seem that Jefferson Beauregard Sessions was backing away from this possibility yesterday when he said he needed a more "factual" basis of evidence to appoint a special prosecutor.

But, of course, a "tweet" from IQ45 could "inspire" JBS to immediately find such evidence!

And, there does seem to be some strong opposition of such appointment from a rather large, non-partisan group of elected officials and politicians.

Yeah, "more to follow!"

This obsession with the Clinton's and a few others by the Right have all been driven by years of RW propaganda. Fox News, Rush Limpballs, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, Laura Ingram, Ann Coulter and their ilk need to be declared enemies of the state. For ratings/$$$ they are spreading hateful propaganda and manipulating a sub-section of Americans, and thus RW politicians who pander to them, to destroy government!

They are responsible for the hyper-partisan grid-lock and people like Trump!
