Public Works employees being photographed and videoed
We all have seen them. The "city slacker" programs where a camera crew follows a public worker around all day and then fills in the narrative on what you are suppose to think.
Being a public worker myself for decades I am proud of my service to the public and the service our crews provide to the citizens.
Regarding "city slackers" news clips...I have witnessed how they jade the public's view of us. Coupled with RW talk radio it's like a one-two punch. Just stopping in to pick up lunch has drawn comments from strangers like, "I see...my tax dollars hard at work", and other snide remarks. While there are a few bad apples at everyone's work place not everyone's end up on TV.
I consider these "news" and talk shows as a part of the corporate war on labor.
My question:
How legal is it to be photographed and videotaped all day? Isn't this stalking?
I realize anyone can video of photograph in public places what is in plain site, but what about following a person all day?
