Investigators said 21-year-old Rontavis Holton confronted Ronald Farmer, 37, just after 6 p.m. in the restaurant parking lot near West Atlantic Boulevard and Northwest 6th Avenue.

This could have been prevented if the carrier had went through the drive thru instead. Then some easy victim would have been attacked instead.

Be aware out there folks, look up from that cell phone when walking to the car.

What could have been prevented? The mugger getting shot? The victim was lucky it to be armed in this case.

If it wasn't this victim it would have been a different one.

I wonder what it does take to lose your license. On the other hand it appears that it was fortunate that he had this gun if the events described are what happened.

I would think you would then be a prohibited person unless he was not charged or was found innocent.

how many of those arrests led to a conviction? Were any felonies? For domestic abuse?
People are arrested all the time and later the charges are dropped or pled down.

but I do agree with your point about no convictions. I would think the news service could find out about any convictions.

It definitely sounds like the dead robbery suspect picked the wrong guy to rob.
