Nobody was injured and no charges were made. The Jackson Police Department was not called to the scene, said spokeswoman Colendula Green. The Capitol Police were not on scene, either.
People attending the show and heard the discharge described what they saw on a forum at www.msgunowners.com.
A poster who goes by MrsHighBrass on the forum wrote, We were looking at a S&W 686 revolver ($500) and a Dan Wesson revolver at the same booth when a gun went off across the room. No one was hit (thank goodness). We were told it was a .25 cal that was on a vendors table fully loaded, and the bullet lodged in the table. He was packing up to leave when we left.

(18,483 posts)...an accidents and safety forum/group for 'news' like this. Since there is no inference of the topics of law, self-defense, the 2A or crime, it's really outside the SOP.
There's something like 80 firearm murders/day. Maybe google news is defective; maybe it's just a slow day or maybe you're just not trying.

(6,801 posts)So yeah, the dealer was an idiot. And he deserves whatever punishment the law allows.
Are you saying without guns people would be less stupid from time to time?

(2,927 posts)... is he calling people who attend gun shows "morans" {sic}, or just people who commit negligent discharge?
discntnt_irny_srcsm
(18,483 posts)...I would say, yes. Both.

(28,470 posts)He's probably using the broad brush, but I'd agree that a dealer who allows a loaded gun on his table at a gun show is a moron..."moran" doesn't really fit in this circumstance.

(18,483 posts)You are among those of insufficient tenure to have been burdened with reading a daily round of google news plops accompanied by that sole and lonely term being the poster's only commentary.
personally, I love the smell of morans in the morning, they smell like..... victory
