Homeowner shoots home invasion suspect - Home Invader Tracking Device

http://www.fox5vegas.com/story/19220446/police-homeowner-shoots-home-invastion-suspect
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Metro police are investigating the shooting of a possible home invasion suspect on El Camino Road, near Russell Road and Jones Boulevard.

According to police, a homeowner fired on a suspect just before 3 p.m. Tuesday from the yard of his home, striking the suspect in the buttocks. There may have been another suspect with the injured suspect.

The suspect who was shot has been apprehended at University Medical Center.

Police have not yet provided information on what led up to the shooting.

Another home invasion averted by a law abiding homeowner. I wish there were more details on this one, but there is a good bit of info there. If you shoot the invader and they get away, chances are they are still going to be brought to justice. They are tagged by the gunshot, will almost certainly go to the hospital and the police will surely investigate any gun shot trauma cases and pair the suspect up with their invasion of your home.

The wound doubles as a homing device for the police. You're protected, and the police catch the baddie. Win-Win.
