Ukrainian military is long on morale but short on weaponry

KYIV, Ukraine — When Russia annexed Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula and threw its support behind separatists in the country's east more than seven years ago, Kyiv's underfunded and disorganized armed forces struggled to mount a credible response.

Now, amid fears that a Russian troop buildup near Ukraine's border could signal a possible attack, military experts say Moscow would face stronger resistance this time. But they emphasize that Ukraine would be well short of what it needs to counter Russia's overwhelming land, sea and air superiority.

Still, years of fighting the separatists have given Ukrainian veterans like Col. Viacheslav Vlasenko the battlefield experience for such a fight.

"In case of Russian aggression. I will have no choice — every Ukrainian is ready to die with arms in hands," said the highly decorated 53-year-old Vlasenko. "Ukraine will never become a part of Russia. If we have to prove it to the Kremlin that Ukraine has the right for freedom and independence, we are ready for it."

Do not let Putin push him around.

Anyone remember when Czechoslovakia was handed over to Hitler.

Putin wants all those countries back.

The Russian population is getting smaller.

Look at all the money to steal.

At a healthy profit of course.. We give US tax payer money to Ukraine, war lords skim off their share and then they buy the weapons from the US military industrial complex. YMMV..

One by one.

If the people are willing to fight we should help them.

Putin is looking at all those resources to steal.

He wants to rule the world.

He had big plans for Trump Part 2.

Putin owned the Republicans.

Giving in to Hitler did not stop WW2.

Giving away Czechoslovakia didn't work to well.

At some point you stand your ground.

If past history is any indication of future actions this is what I believe will happen..

As Sun Tsu said in his book, "The Art of War":
“Convince your enemy that he will gain very little by attacking you; this will diminish his
enthusiasm.”

“The greatest victory is that which requires no battle.”

“The wise warrior avoids the battle.”
YMMV

Going backwards.

Free people going under Russian control.

Putin cannot wait until he can get his hands on their money.

Russia is not all powerful.

Their population is getting smaller.

Their population is about half of ours.

The virus is hitting them hard, lots of Russians are dieing from it.

This is Putin's last chance at world control.

If Trump gets back in we will be in the same boat.
