I just heard about this yesterday. Disturbing on so many levels. Wonder if these agents were true believers, or just looking to retire in the Caribbean?

to take the VP out of the Capitol by car if it was being attacked by people on the ground. I can see that being done if there was a danger to the building itself, e.g., a 9/11-type situation or a bomb threat, but since there's a whole network of tunnels under the DC government complex, wouldn't it have been safer to move him out through a tunnel rather than subjecting him to the possibly greater risk involved in taking him outside and into a vehicle?

Somebody's got a lotta 'splainin' to do.
