Tricare prescription question

I recently went on Medicare and Tricare for life.

My first 90 days of mail-order prescriptions was $20, three prescriptions being $0 and one being $20.

My next 90 days changed to $7 and $24, respectively, for a total of $45.

I'm not complaining - just wondering if this was already in the works or was the doing of our wonderful new administration, if anyone happens to know off the top of their head.

Even if you did not have a recent means test, maybe they “assumed” a higher income after the new year, and you were charged a higher rate?

I am assuming that the means test is required at the beginning of each calendar year..

I was just curious as to when the decision took place, if anyone happened to know off the top of their head.

Tricare for Life pharmacy does not have a means test as far as I am aware....?

I use the VA proper, not Tri Care.

I’m glad I signed up when I did, as it seems that my level of service is grandfathered in.
When I do use the VA system, I go to the West Los Angeles VA Hospital. While it is pretty crowded at times, the level of service is as good as I get via my wife’s Blue Cross, only much cheaper.

I hope your experience with Tri Care meets your needs within your budget.
