Non-VA doctors.

Under TriWest, every time I went to a new-VA doctor or had it renewed, I would first receive a letter from TriWest telling me the name, address, and phone number of the doctor. I was also told the date and time of my first appointment, how long this authorization would last, how many appointments I was allowed, and what the doctor was allowed to do. Now under Community Care and Optum I do not receive any information, not even that it has been approved. I have to keep calling Community Care until it is approved. I have been after them to renew another 6 months with my pulmonologist. I called last week and he person told me that they would call my doctor and set it up and they would call me back. I did not receive a call back so I called again today. This person told me they do not call the doctor and I have to call my primary and she would call Community Care to set it up. I asked her if the other person had called my doctor last week and she told me they don't keep those records. The thing is my non-VA doctor called Community Care to set up an appointment for me to have a pulmonary test and make an appointment with her. Why did Community Care allow her to set up an appointment for the test but not allow her to set up an appointment to see her?
