Our little turtle family sunning!

Wish the pic was better but these fellas are really skittish and I could only get so close when the fam started crawling up on the log...once they were all kind of settled and Jr. had nudged his way onto the log, I quickly snapped the pic.

Shortly thereafter, when I made a slight adjustment to see if I could get closer, they all slid off...

I have a new mission to recreate the pic but better...only problem... nature does not always comply and so far my efforts have been for naught.

4. Reminds me of that Ascent Of Man illustration that maps bipeds from prehistory to homo sapiens.

It looks like the Evolution Of Turtles just goes from small turtle to larger turtle, and so on. I think this evolutionary branch is reaching the limit of its path.

Someone anchored a log in the center. It often has turtles on it when I drive by.
