2. Envy!!!

Prolonged Severe Drought here (West/Central Arkansas),
extreme in some near places.
Some areas got some spotty rain up to a couple of inches last week,
but not us.
I had a neighbor less than a mile away who called me at sunset last week celebrating a downpour,
assuming that it was raining at our place too,
but not here.
It was so close I could SMELL it,
but not a drop for our parched hill top.


Did you use any Magic Mojo, incantations, or rain dances?
I'm willing to try anything here.
We've been Daring-It-to-Rain by
leaving windows down,
washing the cars,
hanging laundry on the line,
and leaving power tools laying in the yard,
....but so far, nothing seems to work.

3. i wish

i try that car window thing all the time. the power tools usually do it. but the only thing working around here is the sprinklers. that was really the only huge rain of the year. and it has been weeks. unirrigated grass is brown as can be.
i chuckle up my sleeve about watering. the city wont give me water service, so my neighbor, who is on a fixed price plan, lets my hook up to his water. usually it is not a very good deal, although he waters his grass to the point of getting mushrooms. he probably breaks even.
but we are getting our money's worth in a big way. hahahaha.
